Dino Diorama
A reader recently contacted me about making a diorama based on my Dino Excavation comic. His name is Frank Henriquez, he’s a talented model maker and you can see more of his work at his website frankhenriquez.com.
The more I looked at Frank’s diorama the more I was amazed at the small details he included. The pick axe at the geologist’s feet, the attire of the two workers, and the tiny shovel in the pile of dirt. I kept finding more and more similarities, even down to the number of wooden slats the crates are made of. It is neat to see a comic and all of its small details brought to life.
Geostrata Magazine
I’m taking the week off drawing new toons to focus on some comic-related projects. The photo above is from Geostrata Magazine, a publication that reached out to use a recent comic - https://www.geoinstitute.org/publications/geostrata I loved geology in college and was happy to have the comic appear in their magazine.
